UC-8100 platformu, gömülü veri toplama uygulamaları için tasarlanmıştır. Bir veya iki adet RS-232/422/485 seri bağlantı noktası ve ikili 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN bağlantı noktası ve hücresel modülleri desteklemek için bir Mini PCIe soketi ile birlikte gelir. Bu özellikleri kullanıcıların UC-8100'ü çeşitli karmaşık iletişim çözümlerine verimli bir şekilde adapte etmelerini sağlar.

UC-8100, enerji izleme sistemlerinde kullanılmak üzere optimize edilmiş bir Cortex-A8 RISC işlemci etrafında inşa edilmiştir, ancak çeşitli endüstriyel çözümlere yaygın olarak uygulanabilir.
